Job Description

Early Childhood Educator Hourly The educator's role is critical to the overall success of the preschool program. They are responsible for providing leadership within their individual classroom in all facets of the children's well-being and education. They are responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, developing positive relationships and communications with families, maintaining a clean and well-organized classroom, and managing all of the various documentation required by the Tennessee Department of Human Services for Childcare. Qualifications Meets at least one of the following: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Current CDA or Associate degree in related field 4 years experience in an Early Childhood Education program (must complete TECTA orientation upon hire) Medical Requirements DHS Childcare Provider Medical Report signed by physician ability to lift 40 lbs. agility to move quickly and keep up with toddlers Additional Requirements flexible with scheduling able and willing to work with all children ages 6 weeks to 5 years complete fingerprinting for background check maintain current CPR/First Aid certification (expenses covered) maintain current Professional Development hours required by
