About the Role KidzTown Academy is seeking a creative, energetic, dependable, and intentional Preschool Teacher to lead our Little Grizzlies classroom, serving children ages 3-5. In this role, you will create a nurturing, play-based learning environment that fosters curiosity, independence, creativity, and kindergarten readiness. Through engaging instruction and hands-on exploration, you will help children develop foundational academic, social-emotional, communication, and problem-solving skills. At KidzTown, kindergarten readiness goes beyond letters and numbers. Our goal is to prepare confident, capable learners who are ready to build relationships, navigate new experiences, and thrive in kindergarten and beyond. What You'll Do Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom that supports children's development. Deliver purposeful, play-based instruction integrating early literacy, math, STEAM, creative arts, and kindergarten readiness. Foster social-emotional growth, independence, leadership, and problem-solving through positive guidance. Assess and document developmental progress to individualize learning. Build strong family partnerships through consistent communication and engagement. Maintain accurate records and comply with academy policies and Tennessee childcare licensing requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA, degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field strongly preferred. Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or early learning setting preferred. Knowledge of child development, developmentally appropriate practices, lesson planning, and positive behavior guidance preferred. Must meet all applicable Tennessee childcare licensing requirements, including background checks and required training. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification required. Ability to safely lift children as needed, bend, sit on the floor, stand, and actively engage with children throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay:

$11.00 - $15.00 per hour
