Role:

KidzTown Academy is seeking an energetic, nurturing, and dependable Toddler Teacher to join our Little Tigers classroom. In this role, you'll create a safe, engaging environment where toddlers develop language, independence, emotional regulation, and foundational skills through purposeful play, exploration, and everyday experiences. We're looking for an educator who understands that every moment is an opportunity for learning and discovery. What You'll Do Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom that promotes toddler development. Facilitate play-based learning through early literacy, STEAM, sensory exploration, music, movement, and creative activities. Foster language, independence, self-help skills, and social-emotional growth through positive guidance and co-regulation. Observe developmental progress and maintain strong communication with families. Maintain classroom cleanliness, accurate records, and compliance with academy policies and Tennessee licensing requirements. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development and school activities. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is:

Communicates effectively, welcomes feedback, and embraces continuous learning. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare center, preschool, Early Head Start, licensed home childcare setting, or similar environment preferred. CDA, associate degree, bachelor's degree, or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of toddler developmental milestones and developmentally appropriate practices preferred. Experience with positive behavior guidance and social-emotional learning is a plus. Must be able to meet all Tennessee childcare licensing requirements, including required background checks and training. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; willingness to obtain required certification is expected. Must be physically able to safely lift and carry young children, sit and play on the floor, bend, stand, move throughout the classroom, and actively engage with toddlers throughout the workday.

Pay:

$11.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
