Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and physical activity tailored for 3-year-olds Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management Engage children in hands-on activities that support their developmental milestones in areas such as language acquisition, motor skills, and cognitive growth Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental achievements through meetings and written updates Maintain detailed documentation of each child's development in accordance with childhood development standards and mandated reporting laws Manage classroom routines including circle time, free play, snack time, rest periods, and outdoor activities to ensure a balanced day of learning and fun Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate early intervention strategies and support children with special education needs or behavioral challenges Skills Extensive knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers aged 2 to 3 years old Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings with classroom management expertise Strong curriculum development skills focused on early childhood education including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners to foster a collaborative environment Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and the ability to respond appropriately to concerns or incidents Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are highly valued Experience with classroom experience involving preschool teaching techniques, standardized testing for early learners, and behavior management strategies Join us in shaping the future by providing a joyful learning experience for our youngest learners!
