Job Summary Top Kids Bilingual Preschool is seeking a dependable, nurturing Infant Room Teacher to provide responsive, individualized care for children approximately 6 weeks through 18 months of age, based on developmental needs. We are looking for someone who notices the little things. Infant care is more than bottles, diapers, and keeping babies safe. A strong infant teacher learns each child's routines, cues, preferences, and developmental needs. They listen when a parent explains that their baby's morning was different than usual. They notice when a child ate later than normal, missed a nap, is working toward a new milestone, or simply isn't acting like themselves. Our infant teachers don't just celebrate milestones, they actively help children work toward them through intentional, developmentally appropriate interactions and experiences. Responsibilities As an Infant Room Teacher, you will be responsible for: Providing safe, nurturing, and responsive care while learning and responding to each infant's individual routines, cues, temperament, and needs. Providing daily care including diaper changes, bottles, formula, breast milk, infant foods, and solid foods according to each child's individual feeding plan, while following all safe sleep, supervision, feeding, sanitation, and other applicable Texas Minimum Standards. Accurately documenting diaper changes, bottles, meals, naps, activities, and relevant daily information through Procare and communicating important information with families at arrival and departure. Supporting each child's development and individual milestones through tummy time, floor play, sensory experiences, language, music, movement, reading, and other developmentally appropriate activities and one-on-one interactions. Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary infant classroom, including regularly cleaning and sanitizing toys, equipment, feeding areas, diapering areas, and classroom surfaces. Maintaining professional and respectful relationships with children, families, and coworkers from a variety of cultures, religions, backgrounds, abilities, experiences, and family structures. Maintaining dependable attendance and punctuality. Consistent staffing is essential to maintaining required childcare ratios and providing safe, consistent care for infants.
