The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, responsive, and engaging classroom environment for infants while meeting their individual care, developmental, and learning needs. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, professional, and understands that quality infant care requires consistency, communication, and close attention to detail. Schedule Full-Time | Monday-Friday Candidates must be available to work between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM . Specific hours will be assigned based on classroom and center staffing needs. Weekend work is not required. Responsibilities Provide attentive, responsive care to infants throughout the day. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Follow each child's individual feeding, diapering, nap, and care routines. Complete accurate daily documentation, including diapers, bottles, meals, naps, and classroom activities. Communicate professionally and consistently with parents and administration. Support infants' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and interactions. Follow the center's curriculum and daily classroom routines. Maintain appropriate supervision of all children at all times. Follow Texas Minimum Standards and all Highland Forest policies and procedures. Maintain proper sanitation and classroom cleanliness. Work cooperatively with co-teachers and administration. Attend required staff meetings, training, and professional development. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff. Assist with other classroom responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early learning setting preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must meet all applicable Texas childcare licensing requirements. Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Training may be provided. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to remain calm, patient, and attentive in a busy infant classroom. Ability to safely lift and carry infants and perform the physical responsibilities of the position. Must successfully complete required background checks and screening.
