  • Applicants with less than 2 years of experience in a Texas Licensed Preschool will not be considered.
This is not an entry level position. Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Part Time Toddler Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help nurture the youngest learners during their most formative years. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment tailored specifically for toddlers, fostering their curiosity and development through playful learning experiences. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in toddlers Supervise and interact with children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support children in developing essential skills such as communication, sharing, and independence through engaging activities Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, needs, and milestones Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices and emergency procedures Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that celebrates diversity and individual growth Skills Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings. 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility strongly preferred, and preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and licensing guidelines specific to toddlers Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques First aid certification and knowledge of safety procedures for young children preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Familiarity with early childhood education best practices and curriculum planning Compassionate caregiving skills combined with energetic enthusiasm for teaching young learners Ability to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of children at different developmental stages An active member of a Christian congregation is required.
