Duties Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development for toddlers. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and creativity. Monitor and ensure the safety of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about each child's progress, behavior, and needs. Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities that align with early childhood education standards. Maintain accurate records of children's developmental milestones, attendance, and other relevant documentation. Incorporate inclusive practices to support children with special needs or disabilities using specialized techniques when necessary. Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, first aid, special education, and caregiving best practices. Skills Proven experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting; classroom experience preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Excellent classroom management skills to foster a safe, respectful learning environment. Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and team members in a clear and positive manner. Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience and adaptability to meet each child's unique needs. Experience in behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions among toddlers. Familiarity with infant care routines as well as toddler-specific activities such as play-based learning.
