Duties Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to infants and toddlers that promote early childhood development and literacy education. Provide attentive toddler care by supporting their daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times, ensuring safety and comfort at all times. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies to foster a respectful learning environment. Conduct child development instruction that supports milestones in physical activity, social skills, language acquisition, and cognitive growth. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships centered on child welfare. Maintain classroom organization through lesson planning, activity setup, and ensuring all materials meet safety standards in accordance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to adapt lessons for children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in classroom settings or childcare environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles, including toddler care practices and preschool teaching methodologies. Familiarity with curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and standardized testing relevant to early childhood education. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or early intervention is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws diligently to ensure child safety and welfare at all times. Prior experience teaching physical education or literacy education is advantageous; familiarity with math concepts for early learners is beneficial.
