In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, clean, and lovingly attentive environment for infants and young toddlers. You will guide their early development through sensory play, routine care, and gentle social interactions while giving parents peace of mind that their little ones are in exceptional hands. Schedule Monday-Friday 8:00-6:30 with a 2 hour lunch break Some Saturday shifts 8:00-3:00 Pay Starting at $11.00/ hour and may start higher dependent on experience Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood education, including literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among toddlers and preschoolers Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns Conduct child development assessments to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR protocols Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and special education initiatives such as early intervention programs Implement classroom management techniques to foster discipline, cooperation, and respect among students Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, curriculum development, and teaching best practices Support children's physical education activities to promote gross motor skills and overall wellness Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Strong skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management techniques Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in childhood education or special education preferred Demonstrated commitment to child welfare, safety regulations, and mandated reporting laws Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently Passion for early childhood education combined with enthusiasm for fostering a nurturing learning environment
