Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to toddler developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independence among toddlers. Manage daily classroom routines, including meal times, nap schedules, diapering, and outdoor play, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Use effective behavior management techniques to guide positive social interactions and address behavioral challenges constructively. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Maintain accurate records of child development progress, attendance, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom activities, and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Requirements Prior experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs is a plus. Ability to follow mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, behavior management, and lesson planning tailored for toddlers.
