This dynamic role combines nurturing classroom instruction with safe transportation responsibilities, creating a comprehensive environment where children thrive. You will inspire young minds, ensure their safety during daily activities and travel, and foster a joyful learning atmosphere. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's development while working in a supportive and energetic setting. Responsibilities Develop engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to school-age children and toddlers, promoting growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions with attentive care and positive behavior management techniques Safely operate the school bus or transportation vehicle, ensuring all safety protocols are followed for pick-up and drop-off routines Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences through regular updates and meetings Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child safety or well-being Assist in classroom management by creating a welcoming environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respectful interactions Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized care plans and adapting activities accordingly Skills Proven experience working with children of various ages in daycare centers or preschool settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective child supervision strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to respond confidently to emergencies Strong understanding of special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Classroom experience that demonstrates effective behavior management and classroom organization Ability to operate school transportation vehicles safely while adhering to all safety regulations Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect Compassionate caregiving skills combined with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for early childhood education This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about nurturing young children's growth while ensuring their safety during daily routines.
