Lead Toddler Teacher Asbury Day School Pasadena, TX Job Details Full-time From $14 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification First Aid Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher for ages 13 months to 23 months to join our vibrant early Christian childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for toddlers. Your leadership will inspire young learners, support their developmental milestones, and foster a love for learning from an early age. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the growth of children during their formative years while collaborating with families and colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care and education. Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers. Lead classroom activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and early literacy skills through engaging lessons and play-based learning. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure consistent quality of care and instruction. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications. Maintain detailed records of children's development, attendance, assessments, and classroom activities to monitor progress effectively. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers. Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education best practices, and curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children. Proven classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management strategies. Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and inclusive teaching practices Certification in first aid and CPR is required; but can be maintained after hire. additional credentials in childhood development or preschool teaching are preferred. Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to young learners' growth.
