Being experienced, independent and an ambitious person Having a passion for infants Being mobile (move around/ floor time/ be able to get up and down in timely manner, able to pick up infants - bending and stooping) Ability to engage (play time with the infants/no baby talk) Following room schedules Recording daily reports Keeping file of monthly infant care sheets Teamwork must be exemplified Communication with parents and team mates No cell phones while caring for children Following minimum standards (State issued requirements) Individual attention given to each child including playing, talking, cuddling and holding Holding and comforting a child who is upset Prompt attention given to physical needs, such as feeding and diapering Talking to children as they are fed, changed, and held, such as naming objects, singing or saying rhymes Ensuring the environment is free of objects that may cause choking in children younger than three years Never leaving an infant unsupervised
