Harvest Point Academy is seeking a loving, dependable, and energetic Toddler Teacher (13 months to 24 months) who understands that the toddler years are filled with important firsts—first friendships, new words, growing independence, and exciting discoveries. Our 2026-2027 theme is "Oh, The Places We Will Grow!" At HPA, children grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We are looking for a teacher who will create a nurturing classroom where toddlers feel safe, loved, and excited to learn each day. Harvest Point Academy is a faith-centered early childhood program serving children from six weeks through Pre-K 4. Our teachers partner with families to build strong foundations for lifelong learning and help every child understand that they are uniquely created and deeply valued by God. What You'll Do As a Toddler Teacher, you will: Create a warm, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. Build secure, caring relationships with toddlers and their families. Plan and lead engaging learning experiences through play, music, movement, stories, sensory exploration, art, and outdoor activities. Introduce age-appropriate early literacy, language, math, science, and social-emotional concepts. Incorporate prayer, Bible stories, worship, and Christian character development into the classroom day. Support children as they learn classroom routines, self-help skills, communication, sharing, and emotional regulation. Provide attentive care during meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, transitions, and outdoor play. Use positive guidance, redirection, and age-appropriate behavior-support strategies. Maintain active supervision and follow all HPA health, safety, sanitation, and classroom procedures. Observe children's development and communicate milestones or concerns appropriately. Keep families informed through Brightwheel updates, photos, and professional daily communication. Maintain an organized, attractive, clean, and well-prepared classroom. Work collaboratively with HPA leadership and fellow teachers. Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, special programs, and academy events. Skilled at communicating respectfully with children, families, coworkers, and leadership. Comfortable working in a Christian environment and supporting the faith-based mission of Harvest Point Academy. Willing to learn, receive coaching, and continue growing as an early childhood educator. Able to remain calm, attentive, and responsive in a busy toddler classroom. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or early learning setting strongly preferred. CDA, early childhood education coursework, or related credential preferred. Knowledge of toddler development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices preferred. Must be able to satisfy all background-check and childcare employment requirements. Must complete required health, safety, and professional-development training. CPR and First Aid certification preferred; training may be required upon hire.
