Using Montessori principles, the teacher designs a supportive, engaging environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. The teacher also leads classroom operations, mentors assistants, and partners with parents to nurture each child's potential. Duties Prepare a safe, child-centered classroom with age-appropriate Montessori materials. Plan and execute lessons that incorporate the five key areas of study: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, and Cultural Studies. Adapt activities to the developmental needs of toddlers, focusing on exploration and independence. Align curriculum delivery with NAMC resources. Perform hourly face-to-name checks and ensure safety during all transitions. Maintain accurate records of each child's daily activities and milestones. Uphold Texas state regulations regarding student-teacher ratios and safety protocols. Build strong relationships with parents by providing daily updates, holding quarterly conferences, and addressing concerns promptly. Refresh and rotate materials seasonally to reflect thematic learning. Create visually appealing parents and art boards to showcase children's progress. Participate in school events and parent workshops to foster community involvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field (preferred). Current CPR and food handler certifications. Strong knowledge of Montessori principles and their application to toddlers. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Guide children in Practical Life and Sensorial activities that develop fine and gross motor skills. Observe and assess each child's developmental progress to provide individualized support.
