Job Description

A warm, professional family is seeking a dependable, nurturing full-time nanny to care for their 5-month-old son, with occasional support for their 4-year-old son. This is an excellent opportunity for a career nanny who loves infant development, values consistency and professionalism, and is interested in growing with a family long term. The family hopes to find someone who can eventually transition into a broader Family Assistant role as the children grow.
Schedule Days:
Monday
  • Friday Hours:
    4 days per week: 7:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM 1 day per week: 8:00 AM
  • 4:00 PM (varies based on mother's day off work; schedule provided by the middle of the prior month)
Start Time Note:
Required 6:30 AM start when Dad travels (advance notice will be provided)
Flexibility:
Occasional flexibility for sick days, school closures, and date nights Responsibilities Childcare Provide attentive, loving care for a 5-month-old infant Support developmental milestones through reading, play, language exposure, sensory activities, and outdoor walks Follow feeding, nap, and daily routines Occasional care for the family's 4-year-old when home from school Child-Related Household Support Children's laundry Bottle washing and preparation Children's meal preparation Light tidying related to the children Maintain organized child spaces Simple family meal prep 1-2 times per week as needed Ideal Candidate Strong infant experience required 5+ years of childcare experience preferred Calm, warm, patient, and nurturing Highly reliable and punctual Developmentally focused and engaged Professional with strong communication skills Proactive and able to anticipate needs Comfortable receiving feedback CPR certified (or willing to become certified) Spanish-speaking is a plus Must have reliable transportation Transportation & Outings Reliable vehicle required Occasional transportation of children may be needed in the future Family will provide car seats Comfortable with walks, parks, library programs, and age-appropriate outings Family Culture The family values reliability, respect, communication, and gentle parenting. They are looking for someone who will become a trusted extension of their parenting team while maintaining professionalism and healthy boundaries. Compensation & Benefits $21 per hour; paid via Zelle Potential benefits include PTO, paid holidays, sick time, wellness reimbursement, and professional development support (TBD) Additional hours may be available for date nights and occasional weekends Start Date Flexible. The family is ready to move forward once the right candidate is identified (target timeline: Late August / September 2026). Long-Term Opportunity The family is seeking at least a one-year commitment and would love to find someone interested in growing with them long term as the role evolves alongside their family's needs.
