Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Facilitate engaging lessons and activities tailored to the developmental stages of toddlers and preschoolers, including classroom management and behavior management strategies. Provide attentive toddler care and support early intervention efforts to meet individual needs of children with special education requirements. Maintain a safe classroom environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR procedures. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings, reports, or digital updates. Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor child development progress and inform instructional strategies. Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary lessons and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction and early childhood education best practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills. Knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education tailored for young children. Familiarity with special education principles, early intervention techniques, and mandated reporting laws. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood development or behavior management are a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports child welfare and promotes positive behavior.
