Responsibilities Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum plans tailored to toddler age groups, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning. Engage children in hands-on activities that promote exploration, creativity, and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Manage classroom routines effectively, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior management strategies, and classroom events to foster strong partnerships. Maintain accurate documentation of child development milestones, behavior reports, and assessments aligned with standardized testing requirements. Follow mandated reporting laws diligently to ensure child safety and welfare at all times. Collaborate with fellow teachers to plan lessons that incorporate childhood development principles and support physical education activities. Experience Prior experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is required; preschool or toddler care experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies for young children. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention methods to support children with diverse needs. Certification in first aid and CPR is essential; additional training in childhood development or early childhood education is advantageous. Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Experience implementing literacy education programs and understanding of standardized testing processes related to early childhood assessment. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance and safety within the classroom.
