This is not an entry-level childcare position. We are looking for someone who has already worked in an early childhood classroom and understands how to create a calm, engaging, predictable learning environment for young children Our program is designed to feel like school, while still being developmentally appropriate for young children. Children should spend their day learning through conversation, play, movement, exploration, stories, hands-on activities, and intentional teacher-led experiences. We are looking for someone who can:

• Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations
• Manage a classroom confidently without relying on yelling, threats, or constant correction
• Plan engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences
• Help children build independence, self-regulation, communication, and school-readiness skills
• Recognize when children need movement, sensory support, redirection, or a change in approach
• Communicate professionally and positively with families
• Document children's learning, behavior, and important classroom events
• Work collaboratively with school leadership and other teachers
• Receive feedback and continue developing professionally

Experience:

PROFESSIONAL EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Lead-teacher experience in a early childhood education is strongly preferred. A CDA, early childhood education coursework, Texas School Ready experience, or other early childhood credential is a plus, but we are most interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong classroom practice and an understanding of young children. You can walk into a classroom and create structure without making it rigid. You care about what children are actually learning and experiencing during the day.
