Job Description

Taking care and teaching children ages 4-12 throughout the day. The position will be mostly with the school age children now and during the summer. This will require reading and getting the curriculum ready for the children. We work the the ACERS rating scale in this area. As a staff you must be able to learn the licensing rules and become able to handle a classroom in a preschool setting. Teaching a group of children by yourself and manage a classroom. We are looking for someone who is patient and loving with children and work well with other staff. The most valuable staff is able to be flexible and adapt their day to the children's mood and abilities. Must be able to follow directions, give instruction as well as come up with your own ideas. On special occasions or if we are combining classrooms you would need to work in a variety of ages. Some of the best traits are being well organized, task oriented and work with a purpose. Our daily schedule includes age appropriate learning, daily activities and classroom activities. Staff are asked to be responsible to carry out their shift and have reliable transportation. Hours may change depending on other staff and children's schedule. All of our staff must be able to pass a background check. It would be helpful if you could also be a backup driver.
