The Kids Connection is looking for a warm, playful and dependable Toddler Child Care Teacher to join our two-year-old classroom. Two-year-olds are curious, busy, emotional, funny and learning every minute of the day. We're looking for someone who enjoys this age and understands that great toddler teaching is about much more than supervising children. Our teachers build strong relationships, respond to children's emotional and physical needs, and help children learn through play, conversation, exploration and meaningful interactions throughout the day. What you'll do As a Toddler Teacher, you'll: Build warm, trusting relationships with the children in your care Respond to children's emotional and physical needs with patience and compassion Use our toddler curriculum to plan and provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences Get down on the floor and actively play, talk, read, sing and explore with children Extend children's learning by noticing their interests, asking questions and introducing new ideas during play Help children build language, social-emotional, cognitive and physical skills through everyday experiences Support toddlers as they learn to manage big emotions and interact successfully with other children Encourage independence and emerging self-help skills Provide attentive care during meals, diapering/toileting, rest and other daily routines Maintain a safe, engaging and organized classroom environment Communicate professionally with families and coworkers Follow Utah childcare licensing requirements and center policies Who we're looking for Above all, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys toddlers. You should be comfortable with the noise, movement, repetition, messes and big emotions that are part of being two—and see those moments as opportunities to connect, teach and help children grow. We're looking for someone who: Is warm, patient and responsive with young children Enjoys actively playing and interacting with children rather than simply supervising them Can follow curriculum while adapting activities to children's interests and developmental needs Understands—or is eager to learn—how young children learn through play and relationships Is dependable, punctual and understands how important consistent caregivers are to young children Works well as part of a teaching team Is willing to learn and participate in ongoing early childhood training Previous childcare experience is not required. We can provide training in our curriculum, classroom routines and teaching practices. What we can't teach is a genuine desire to engage with and care for young children. Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
