Lead Two's Teacher Jewish Preschool of the Arts Salt Lake City, UT Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $40,000 a year 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Student supervision Interactive activities lessons (early childhood general education) Performing background checks Student behavioral guidance Full Job Description The Jewish Preschool of the Arts/ Tamim Academy is located in the heart of Salt Lake City's Sugarhouse neighborhood. We are in search of a dedicated, energetic, creative, warm, trustworthy teacher's assistant/aide to join our school's team, immediately. Applicants for this position should be nurturing, patient and have a passion for teaching and caring for young children. We are not only building important academic skills, but helping them build socio-emotional skills necessary to form positive relationships with their peers and teachers. Our program provides a high quality preschool education in a safe, fun, and exciting environment, geared toward the Utah State Educational Standards and in compliance of all licensing rules set forth by the Department of Health Childcare Licensing division.

•Jewish Preschool of the Arts is a project of Chabad Lubavitch of Utah. Applicants for this teaching position DO NOT need to be Jewish. We happily welcome an excellent teacher's assistant, regardless of their religious background, race, or ethnicity.

•Responsibilities/Requirements Lead Toddler Teacher Schedule Monday- Friday 8:30-5pm, or option for 8:30-3:00p Carrying out and developing interesting and interactive lessons that provide a day of learning and fun Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.) Observing the progress of your students and adjusting lessons as needed, to meet the needs of every student Communicate with parents regularly Collaborate with other educators Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be consistent with attendance and punctuality Two years of experience as a preschool teacher, or higher education is recommended. More experience will result in an hourly pay rate at the higher end of our pay range. Skills Proven experience as a preschool teacher, or older children. Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods Excellent communication and instructional skills Ability to act as mediator between children Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable Please contact the Director, Kelsie Miller or Sheina Zippel, and provide a resume and cover letter.
