Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Director and Assistant Director of Daycare to lead and oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education center. In this vital role, you will foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare services while maintaining compliance with all licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives and support families in our community. Responsibilities Lead the overall management of the daycare center, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and daily operations. Develop and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment that promotes childhood development and learning. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare licensing, health, safety, and mandated reporting laws. Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff to uphold high standards of classroom management, child supervision, and early childhood instruction. Foster positive relationships with parents through clear communication about their children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns. Oversee classroom activities to ensure they are age-appropriate, inclusive, and aligned with best practices in child development instruction. Manage administrative tasks such as enrollment processes, staff scheduling, record keeping for child health and safety documentation, and budgeting. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting with demonstrated classroom management skills. Prior leadership experience as a director or supervisor within a daycare center or early childhood education environment. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education techniques, and behavior management strategies. Certifications in first aid (including pediatric first aid), CPR, and mandatory reporting laws are required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
