In this role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of our youngest learners. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children to explore, learn, and thrive while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through dedicated teaching and compassionate care. Duties Lead daily classroom activities for toddlers and infants, creating engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development. Supervise children closely to ensure their safety, providing attentive child supervision and implementing behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong parent-teacher partnerships. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and development. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a safe setting for all children. Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities, incorporating special education techniques as needed. Document children's developmental progress and participate in ongoing training related to childhood development instruction, classroom management, and early childhood education best practices. Skills Proven experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom experience with toddlers and infants. Strong knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education strategies, and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs using inclusive teaching methods. Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and teamwork within a daycare center environment. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a warm, nurturing atmosphere that encourages exploration and learning. Familiarity with childcare regulations, daycare experience, nannying or babysitting background is highly valued.
