Utilize effective classroom management and behavior management techniques to maintain a positive, disciplined learning space conducive to active engagement. Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans that incorporate child development principles, early intervention strategies, and standards for preschool education. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings and written updates. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols; maintain accurate records of student assessments and observations. Support children's physical health by integrating activities such as physical education and ensuring adherence to first aid and CPR safety standards. Requirements Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong knowledge of Montessori methodology, early childhood education best practices, and childhood development principles. Demonstrated skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is required. Ability to adapt teaching approaches based on individual student needs; experience with standardized testing and tutoring is a plus.
