As a Child Care Floater, you will support classroom staff, assist with child development activities, and adapt seamlessly to different settings within our childcare center. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across multiple age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children. Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support classroom management and behavior guidance strategies to foster positive social interactions. Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure safety protocols are followed, including mandated reporting laws and health guidelines. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns that arise. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and play. Adapt quickly to different classrooms' needs, providing coverage during staff absences or busy periods to ensure continuous quality care. Skills Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific activities for infants through preschoolers. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavior management effectively. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare environment. Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
