Overview Dreamers Learning Academy is looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our Preschool Junior classroom, serving children around 3 years old . We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and can create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and positive classroom environment . The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with preschool-age children, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for supporting children's development. Our teachers use STREAMin³ to create meaningful learning experiences through play, exploration, routines, and hands-on activities. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a classroom of preschool children while maintaining a safe and positive environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities following the STREAMin³ curriculum . Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Create engaging learning experiences through play, music, movement, stories, art, sensory activities, and hands-on exploration. Establish consistent classroom routines and use positive guidance and behavior-management strategies. Observe children's development and communicate progress and concerns with families and administration. Provide individualized support based on each child's developmental needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Follow all Virginia childcare licensing, health, safety, and supervision requirements. Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, guardians, coworkers, and administration. Work collaboratively with the teaching team. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities. Complete required classroom documentation and daily responsibilities. Qualifications Previous experience working with preschool children, preferably ages 3-4, ( preferred) Current CPR and First Aid certification is

REQUIRED.

Experience working in a licensed childcare center, preschool, daycare, or educational setting is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills. Ability to plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities. Patient, dependable, responsible, and nurturing personality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively with children with different developmental needs.
