Deliver child development instruction tailored to the unique needs of toddlers and preschool-aged children, including those requiring special education or early intervention support. Maintain clear communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings. Conduct classroom management to ensure a structured yet flexible learning space conducive to active engagement and safety. Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety issues. Incorporate standardized testing when appropriate to assess developmental progress and inform instructional strategies. Lead activities that promote physical development, including experience teaching physical education suitable for young children. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and curriculum development to enhance educational outcomes across the classroom. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a preschool or early childhood education setting; prior preschool experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education methods tailored for young learners. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of child welfare standards is essential. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and well-being. Demonstrated ability to create engaging activities that support math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
