Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to create a respectful and productive learning environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental needs, and behavioral concerns while ensuring compliance with mandated reporting laws. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or teaching aides to maintain high standards of classroom management and instructional quality. Integrate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly. Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, incident reports, and compliance documentation related to child welfare and safety standards. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Knowledge of early childhood education frameworks such as Montessori or other pedagogical approaches preferred. Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education techniques. Experience teaching physical education, math concepts, or tutoring young children is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and ensure child safety at all times. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
