In this role, you will support the daily operations of our childcare facility by providing attentive supervision, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help promote positive growth and learning experiences for young children, ensuring they feel secure and excited to explore their world. Responsibilities Supervise children during playtime, meal times, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety and engagement Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with health and safety regulations Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and daily activities Support children with diapering, feeding, and basic personal care as needed Follow mandated reporting laws to identify and report any signs of neglect or abuse Collaborate with lead teachers and other staff to manage classroom behavior and facilitate positive interactions among children Assist with the daily closing routine by leaving the daycare clean, organized, and sanitized so that it is ready for the next day's activities. Skills Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings Strong child supervision skills with an emphasis on safety and attentiveness Ability to manage classroom behavior through positive guidance techniques Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), and pediatric first aid preferred. Bloodborne pathogens certificate. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare environment Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
