Job description Discovery Village Academy is seeking professional, enthusiastic, and caring individuals to join our team working with children aged 3 years to 4 years old. This position offers the opportunity to support children's emotional needs and plan an engaging curriculum that promotes school readiness. Job Type:
Full-time / Part-time scheduleResponsibilities:
- Create and implement weekly lesson plans/curriculum covering all areas of child development. . Communicate and engage professionally and meaningfully with parents, staff members, and children to provide quality care.
- Ensure the classroom remains clean, safe, and culturally appropriate to support the developmental needs of children, in compliance with WAC regulations.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Foster positive guidance and demonstrate effective classroom management skills.
- Lead enrichment activities for students in afternoon if choose to work full-day.
- Support mealtime food distribution, monitoring, and clean-up.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working as a lead teacher or in a similar role in an early childhood setting.
- Must be 18 years or older and has the required certifications or willing to renew (e.
