Job Description

About This Role Substitute as an assistant or aide in a Montessori classroom, preschool of mixed ages ranging from 2 years-6 years in age. Support the Lead and Assistant Teacher in Montessori curriculum and classroom management. Substitutes are notified of available hours day of, or in advance, and hours are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis according to School Administrations needs and preferences. What You'll Do Duties would depend on the needs of the classroom, but could include: Set up of a classroom in the morning Cleaning or resetting spaces throughout the day Resetting the classroom at the end of the day Assisting the Teachers with snack, lunch, playground time, circle time Assisting the children with their Montessori works Assisting children with shoes/clothing to transition inside or outside Assisting with toileting or diapering according to school protocols Requirements Childcare background/knowledge Background check through DCYF TB test First Aid, CPR Food Handlers Blood Borne Pathogens through L and I Child Care Basics 30hr course Nice To Haves Montessori Knowledge Childcare Expereince CPR or any required trainings Benefits Professional Development Flexible Schedule This is an hourly position without benefits.
