Job Description

As a Preschool/PreK Lead Teacher at The Goddard School located in Renton, you help instill a love of learning through play to your students while managing the day-to-day operations of your classroom. You help build trust with families and teachers and encourage each child's individual development to create a path for future success. Your role is critical to the smooth operation of the school and creates a positive impact on the lives of the families we serve and the staff we employ. Core Responsibilities:
Manage the overall day-to-day operations of your classroom. Plan and execute the curriculum for the classroom. You will seek to ensure the safety, quality, and consistency of care for all your students. Manage child portfolios and continuous child development assessments. Maintain our inclusive culture and demonstrate a commitment to our quality assurance standards, accreditations, and licensing requirements. Develop relationships that inspire trust with current and potential families. Inspire confidence in your Assistant Teacher and other coworkers to help foster teamwork and develop a positive workplace environment.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirement:
A current CDA + 8 aligned college credits OR 20 aligned college credits OR Washington ECE Short Certificate (20 credits) CDA or AA or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Previous experience leading a classroom in an early childhood education setting. Candidates must pass required state background checks and TB test.
