Company Overview Summer Valley Preschool est. 2006 is a highly rated Reggio Emilia-inspired early childhood education center dedicated to nurturing young learners. Serving children ages 1 to 5 years. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Co-Lead Toddler-Two's Teacher to join our passionate and collaborative team. Class sizes are small to ensure children have one on one attention. In this role, you will collaboratively plan and implement engaging curriculum tailored to toddlers' developmental needs, promote positive behavior management, and create a warm, inclusive classroom environment. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will inspire young learners and support their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Responsibilities Collaborate with a co-lead to develop and execute dynamic lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles and address individual child needs Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes safety, independence, and curiosity through effective classroom management strategies Implement child development instruction techniques aligned with best practices in early childhood education and preschool teaching Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support literacy education, math skills, physical development, and social-emotional learning Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build strong partnerships Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns Utilize behavior management strategies to guide children's social interactions positively and constructively Experience AA degree in ECE or related field with min 12 ECE credit credits Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is required Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management for early learners Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood development principles Certification in first aid and CPR; willingness to obtain required certification is expected Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families Join us at Summer Valley Preschool where your passion for early childhood education will make a meaningful difference! Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
