Compensation:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour (Depending on ECE education and experience) We are looking for a passionate, nurturing, and experienced Bilingual Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early learning team. In this role, you will lead a classroom of children ages 3 to 5, creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment. The ideal candidate has a deep love for early childhood education, exceptional classroom management skills, and can communicate fluently in both English and Spanish . Requirements (DCYF & MERIT Mandatory Qualifications):

MERIT Account & STARS ID:

Must have an active profile in the WA State MERIT registry.

Background Check:

Current DCYF Portable Background Check with "Cleared" status (Fingerprints completed).

Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required). Initial ECE Certificate, Short Certificate, or BA/AA in Early Childhood Education (or willing to work towards it). Child Care Basics (CCB) 30-hour training completed and recorded in MERIT.

Health & Safety:

Valid Infant/Adult First Aid & CPR Certification. Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test documentation. Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunization. Washington State Food Handler's Card.

Language:

Fluent bilingual in English and Spanish (Written and spoken).

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Lead or Assistant Teacher in a licensed child care center or preschool setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement high-quality, bilingual weekly lesson plans aligned with DCYF guidelines. Lead daily classroom activities including circle time, small groups, outdoor play, and arts/crafts. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and sanitized learning environment. Conduct child assessments and maintain open, professional communication with parents regarding their child's development.
