Duties Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that encourages social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Foster a safe, nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Maintain detailed records of children's development, attendance, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing laws. Collaborate with colleagues to develop lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, and physical activities. Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid and CPR procedures, to promote child welfare. Requirements Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively. Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom experience. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members. Certification in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hire. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Ability to implement inclusive practices for children with special education needs or developmental delays.
