Job Description

Overview We are looking for a kind, patient, dependable and caring teacher who genuinely loves working with young children and wants to make a difference in their lives each day. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a strong understanding of childhood development, and a commitment to creating engaging learning experiences. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through quality education and care. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes early childhood development. Plan and execute engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs. Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, organized, and positive learning environment. Utilize effective classroom management and behavior management techniques to support children's social-emotional growth. Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare and safety. Incorporate early intervention strategies when necessary to support children with special educational needs. Maintain knowledge of child development principles and apply best practices in childcare settings. Assist in daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Promote inclusive practices that respect diversity and individual differences among children. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development, early intervention, special education, and literacy education. Classroom experience with effective classroom management and behavior management techniques. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for early childhood education. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies. First aid and CPR certification is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire. Experience teaching physical education or integrating movement into daily activities is a plus. Experience or education in Early Childhood Education is valued.
