Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher, working Monday through Friday to create a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young learners. In this role, you'll support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and help foster developmental growth in children from infancy through preschool age. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities that promote childhood development and learning Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Help with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks in accordance with health and safety standards Follow mandated reporting laws by recognizing signs of abuse or neglect and reporting concerns appropriately Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
REQUIRED
Coursework:
Must already have completed the Wisconsin entry-level child care coursework required for an Assistant Teacher (such as Introduction to the Child Care Profession or an equivalent high school Assistant Child Care Teacher certificate) and be eligible on the Wisconsin Registry.
Certifications:
Current Pediatric CPR & First Aid (or completion within 30 days of hire).
Pay:
$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
