$18-21/hour Under the direction of the Child Care Director, the Child Development Office Specialist provides administrative and customer service support for the YMCA's Child Care Department. This position serves as the primary point of contact for families regarding child care, preschool, school-age care, camp, and related programs. Responsibilities include assisting families through the enrollment process, maintaining accurate child care records, processing registrations and payments, supporting CACFP documentation, and providing administrative assistance to the Child Care leadership team. The Child Development Office Specialist plays an important role in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment while delivering exceptional customer service consistent with the YMCA's mission and core values.Requirements:
Education/Training/Certifications:
1. Business, accounting, or clerical experience is required. 2. CPR/AED and First Aid Certification within 60 days of employment. 3. Pass fingerprint background check. 4. Other trainings as required by the YMCA.Technical Knowledge/Skills:
1. Proficient in Microsoft Office, accurate data entry, and able to learn in-house programs. 2. Problem solve, considering various impacting factors, and interpret instructions. 3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiencies and Professionalism:
1. Language Skills- Read, analyze, interpret, and create technical business communications. 2. Mathematical Skills
- Accurately record program registration data and process billing and payment information. 3. Work Performance Skills
- Organize, prioritize and manage tasks with limited supervision.
