Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Daycare Closer to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The Daycare Closer is responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth transition at the end of each day, maintaining a secure environment for children, staff, and visitors. This role involves supervising children during departure, completing daily closing procedures, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will be proactive, attentive to detail, and passionate about providing a nurturing environment for young learners. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a positive childcare experience while supporting the ongoing development of children in our care. Duties Supervise children during pickup time, ensuring they are safely dismissed to authorized guardians or parents Conduct thorough end-of-day cleaning and sanitization of classroom areas, toys, and equipment in accordance with health standards Complete daily closing checklists, including securing doors, windows, and any sensitive areas of the facility Monitor security systems and CCTV footage to ensure safety protocols are maintained throughout the premises Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's daily activities or any concerns that arise during pickup Assist with light administrative tasks such as logging attendance or updating child records as needed Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate supervision techniques Familiarity with classroom management and behavior management strategies Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is highly preferred Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to follow health and safety regulations meticulously Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Knowledge of early childhood education practices and childhood development instruction Ability to remain attentive, energetic, and positive during busy periods of child supervision Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Join us in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive!
Pay:
$13.50 - $15.00 per hour
