Job Summary :

Educators must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents & other staff members. They need to be organized and willing to teach and learn with their students. Experience is preferred but not required. The educator has a desire to train and understand the education plan of The Neighborhood School. This job requires consistent attendance, the adherence of DFS Rules & Regulations, fostering and maintaining positive relationships with parents and children & efficiently managing their time. Educators and Assistant educators will actively engage children in both age and developmentally appropriate activities, promote and support children in their daily routines, and welcome families to participate in classroom activities and other preschool events.

Essential Functions:

Utilizing active supervision to ensure the safety of all children and foster a sense of trust and well-being among children and their parents by always supervising young children, including in the classroom, on the playground, and during outings, and promoting a safe and secure environment to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries. Help all children grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively by providing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons and ensuring well-rounded foundation for future learning and growth. Providing valuable insights through observations and purposeful interactions. Completing formal and informal assessments. Ensure the successful implementation of the goals and philosophy of The Neighborhood School by working collaboratively and communicating effectively with other teaching staff and administrators, leading to a cohesive educational environment and enhanced outcomes for all children. Ensure families are well-informed about their children's progress and development by initiating and maintaining effective daily communication to support and enhance the children's educational experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to meet requirements of Wyoming Department of Family Services including but not limited to background check, tuberculosis test and current proficiency in CPR and first aid. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications:

An associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution in child development
