Print Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in School Psychology The Psychology Department in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at California State University, Chico invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in School Psychology, beginning in August 2027. This is a full-time, nine-month academic-year position. Review of applications will begin September 21, 2026, and continue until the position is filled. The successful candidate will teach in and contribute to Chico State's NASP-accredited School Psychology graduate program. The program is a three-year course of study that meets the educational requirements for the California Pupil Personnel Services - School Psychology Credential. It emphasizes skill acquisition through introductory laboratory courses and field-based practica and internship experiences in local schools. The School Psychology program is part of the Psychology Department, which includes 16 tenured/tenure-track faculty members, 20 lecturers, and two office staff members. The department offers a BA in Psychology; an MA with options in Psychological Science and School Psychology; and an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy. Minimum Qualifications The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a completed 3-year Master's or a completed Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology, or a doctorate degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
