Qualifications:

Masters degree in education or a closely related field Valid reading specialist standard certificate Previous experience as a reading specialist, preferably at the high school level Strong background in literacy interventions and individualized instructional strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Deliver one-on-one reading instruction to a 15-year-old student, supporting their learning in a specialized program Develop and tailor lesson plans to address specific reading challenges and learning needs Monitor, assess, and document student progress, making adjustments as needed for optimal learning outcomes Collaborate with the schools staff and career/technical program instructors to ensure reading support aligns with academic and vocational goals Engage and motivate the student to build confidence and promote literacy growth

Position Details:
