Job Position:
Title One Teacher- Reading/Literacy Location:
Cleveland, OH 44105 About the Role We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Literacy Coach to support teachers and students in strengthening literacy instruction and improving student reading outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of evidence-based literacy practices and the Science of Reading , along with experience supporting educators through coaching, collaboration, and professional development. Key Responsibilities Coach and support teachers in implementing evidence-based literacy instruction. Provide guidance on Science of Reading principles and instructional strategies. Collaborate with teachers to analyze student data and identify literacy needs. Model effective reading and writing instructional practices. Support differentiated and intervention-based literacy instruction. Provide professional development, resources, and instructional guidance to staff. Monitor literacy progress and help develop strategies to improve student outcomes. Collaborate with school leadership and instructional teams to strengthen literacy programming. Required Qualifications Candidates must have completed Science of Reading training and meet at least one of the following: Master s Degree in Literacy , OR Reading Endorsement (Pre-K 12) listed on an Ohio teaching license as 059902 , OR Passing score on the state literacy test Preferred Qualifications Experience as a literacy/reading coach, interventionist, teacher, or instructional specialist. Experience with evidence-based reading instruction and literacy intervention. Strong communication, collaboration, and professional development skills.
