9687497-19063 Job Description Bring your reading expertise to an engaging K8 educational setting as a Reading Specialist supporting elementary students in a dynamic, contract role. This full-time opportunity offers 35 hours per week, with two immediate openings available. You'll start as soon as possible and remain a vital instructional resource through June 10, 2027. Contribute to literacy development in an onsite environment where your mastery of reading interventions, classroom leadership, and differentiated instruction will have a daily impact. You'll collaborate with staff, create lesson plans in line with state and district standards, and deliver instruction that nurtures growth across diverse learners. Ideal candidates bring a strong foundation in reading instruction and thrive in school-based, urban environments. Your confidence in classroom and behavioral management, alongside a dedication to evidence-based literacy strategies, will set your students up for success.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Pennsylvania certification/licensure and reading specialist certification (required) Experience working with elementary or K8 students in a school-based setting Proficiency in individualized, differentiated instruction and classroom management Demonstrated comfort and adaptability within urban educational communities Strong familiarity with current instructional standards and resource materials Reliable transportation for onsite responsibilities Completion of all required PA clearances Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview
