Job DescriptionHelps students achieve improved standardized testing scores in readingEstablishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport and creates a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to promote student motivationMaintains a high degree of accountability within the classroom setting to allow for maximum learningDocuments student attendance, performance, progress, and behavior in a timely manner and within program guidelinesReports any deficiencies to manager Delivers instruction using provided curriculum resources and develop new/updated curriculum as needed Integrates applied academic activities into classroom curriculumHolds students accountable for following Center's dress code/behavioral standards of conductResponsible for adequate classroom preparationResponsible to track student performance and achievement, and assist students in setting short, intermediate, and long-term goals Maintains adequate classroom cleanlinessEffectively relates to the student population and recognize student success in the classroomAdheres to all data integrity measures related to classroom instruction and testingCreates and sustains positive working relationships with co-workersPerforms all other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degreeCertified to teach in the state in which the center is locatedOne year in a teaching capacity with disadvantaged youth preferredObtain and maintain CPR/First Aid CertificationKnowledge of required subject areaExcellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent organizational skillsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
