Job Description
Homeschool Teacher (Private Instruction & Small Group Learning) for 3-5 year olds We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Homeschool Teacher to provide high-quality, individualized instruction for pre-k to elementary-aged students. This role combines one-on-one academic support with the opportunity to design and lead engaging small-group learning experiences.
Position Overview:
The Homeschool Teacher will deliver private lessons in reading, writing, and math, while also planning and facilitating group activities that encourage collaboration, creativity, and social development. The ideal candidate is passionate about literacy instruction, skilled at differentiating learning, and able to create a nurturing, structured environment where students thrive. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics Assess student progress and tailor lessons to meet each child's needs Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with elementary learning standards Plan and lead small group activities, projects, and enrichment experiences Foster a positive, supportive, and motivating learning environment Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and goals Incorporate creative, hands-on, and interactive learning activities Qualifications Valid teaching license (required) Proven experience teaching elementary-aged students Strong background in reading instruction and literacy development Ability to differentiate instruction for a range of learning styles and abilities Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience in homeschool, tutoring, or small-group settings is a plus Preferred Qualities Passion for helping children build confidence and a love of learning Creative, flexible, and self-motivated Ability to build strong relationships with students and families Familiarity with phonics-based and/or evidence-based reading programs Position Details Part time 4 hours- 10:00-2:00 pm Small group sizes and individualized teaching environment Opportunity to design meaningful, hands-on learning experiences If you are an enthusiastic educator who enjoys personalized teaching and wants to make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you!
