Full-time Requirements/Qualifications:
Must have at least 3 years of industry experience in Fire Service field, full or part time, paid or unpaid. Advanced industry certificate or vocational training may apply toward industry experience. Must have a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential in related subject area OR qualify to obtain a credential. Company Overview Tri-Cities Regional Occupational Program is a dedicated public school that offers career-technical education to high school and adult students. Our programs are designed to prepare individuals for successful entry into college or careers, emphasizing practical skills and real-world applications. Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual to teach Fire Science to high school students! In this role, you will deliver engaging instruction focused on fire science, emergency medical response, and safety procedures. You will prepare students for careers in fire services and related fields by developing comprehensive curricula and fostering hands-on learning experiences. Duties Develop and deliver dynamic lessons on fire science, emergency medicine, occupational safety, and related topics Create and update curriculum materials aligned with industry standards and safety regulations Conduct practical training exercises in firefighting techniques, rescue operations, and emergency response protocols Assess student progress through tests, simulations, and practical evaluations Collaborate with local fire departments, law enforcement agencies, and emergency services for guest lectures and field experiences Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing safety protocols during all activities Support students through tailored instructional methods in high school education settings Experience Proven experience in firefighting Hands-on experience in emergency response techniques Knowledge of standards related to fire safety and emergency medical response Join us to inspire the next generation of emergency responders!
