As a general education science teacher, you'll guide students as they explore scientific concepts, encouraging inquiry and critical thinking every day.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required Valid teaching certification for general education Experience with middle school curriculum, especially science content Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, administration, and families Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for science courses aligned with state standards Create a supportive, inclusive classroom where all students feel valued Assess and monitor student progress, adapting lessons as needed Integrate hands-on activities, technology, and experiential learning Participate in school-wide initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development Maintain clear documentation of student performance and attendance Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to support student success This role offers a chance to grow professionally and make a real difference in the lives of middle schoolers.
